1. Chico Maternity Photography - Scott&Kayla

Wedding photography and videography may take up the majority of our calendar but that doesn’t mean we aren’t just as excited when we get emails about maternity and portrait sessions. In every photo or video session, there is always a story being told that we absolutely love to capture. This story is very special indeed!

We are honored Kayla and Scott asked us to capture this extremely special season of life for them. Not only are we going to be sharing their baby announcements today but we will be capturing baby Krenek’s whole journey into this precious family! This will be the first of several sessions with these three, documenting the entire pregnancy process through photo and video. It brings us great joy to be able to capture these happy days as Scott&Kayla discover the sex of the baby, throw a gender reveal party, baby shower and on that magical day when baby Krenek is finally born :D At each session we will be capturing these two’s story through our videography and photography!

For our first pregnancy announcement portrait session, Kayla had so many wonderful Pinterest-inspired ideas she wanted to make sure were captured. There were so many amazing ideas it was hard to choose which one’s we’d blog! Follow us on Pinterest to see more of her fun maternity photography ideas! We feel so privileged to get to know these two soon to be parents and their wonderful families in this season of life!

This will not be the last time these three will be on the blog…stay tuned.

If you or someone you know is expecting and would like a custom package similar to this please let us know. We would love to use our combination film&photo experiences to tell more of these powerful stories of bringing new life into the world!

  3. Should I hire a wedding videographer? A bride’s candid thoughts…

Is investing a hefty sum in your wedding videography and photography worth it? I’ll be honest with you when I say that Chelsey and I spent more on our wedding photography and videography than anything else! The reason… it’s 100% worth it. It’s an investment that lasts a lifetime! But you shouldn’t take our words for it, consider the words of one of our wonderful brides who was “on the fence” about making the decision to hire a wedding videographer.

"Because I was "being the bride", I was nervous about selecting a videographer. I wasn’t sure if I wanted one at all. With wedding expenses higher than expected and over budget, I didn’t think we needed one. My soon to be husband was adamant on finding a videographer. The only problem was we were getting married in Lake Tahoe. Being that it is a small community, there weren’t many options to choose from. I searched and searched the web, and fortunately stumbled upon TréCreative’s website. They are based out of Chico, California but their website mentioned that they loved to travel. I thought I would give them a try. Looking at their videos online, they were our first choice. The creativeness, professional quality and skill in editing were phenomenal. Once we sent our first email, we knew Stephen and Chelsey were the RIGHT choice. They were extremely responsive and immediately set up a Skype call to get to know us as a couple.

Long story short, they made their way up to Tahoe (which is a place they had never visited before). They showed up on time to our hotel before the wedding, did their work with confidence and made everything look so easy. They then moved to our wedding site at Egdewood Golf Course and were ready for us by the time the wedding parties were ready to walk down the isle. Never a hitch, and I never felt worried, which was such a nice feeling.

It wasn’t until I saw our video that I realized how truly amazing Stephen and Chelsey are. I have probably watched our video over 100 times now. They captured every single magical moment there was. The way they pieced everything together and the music they chose made it a masterpiece. I have to say that my husband and I were nervous about letting Stephen and Chelsey choose our music, but I have to say, that may have been one of our favorite surprises! I can’t believe that I questioned having a wedding videographer. This is truly my favorite thing from our wedding, outside of the wedding part! Every single person we have shared our video with has thought it is the best wedding video they have ever seen….and I believe them!

Thank you so much TréCreative, you will always have a part in our lives!”

Thank you Cathleen for this beyond wonderful review! It always makes us smile ear-to-ear when our dreams for TréCreative are being accurately communicated through our videography and photography experiences. Dagan&Cathleen were so great to get to know and work with, it was an honor to be a part of this magnificent love story! If you missed their film from this summer, enjoy it below!

  9. Sanborn Park Saratoga Engagement Photography by TréCreative - Brian&Kaela

Sitting at the Sacramento Airport waiting for our flight, I just couldn’t wait any longer to share this special engagement shoot with you! I first met Kaela a few years ago while working at Mount Hermon as a camp counselor. We quickly hit it off and became running partners (mostly me running to catch up to Kaela). We’d leave early in the morning before our campers woke up and Kaela even let me take portraits of her when I began building my photography portfolio. We stayed in contact even after the summer passed and I am so thankful for our friendship!

Kaela is the kind of person you absolutely love from day one, she has the biggest smile and is so full of energy. On one of our phone calls, Kaela told me about Brian and kept mentioning how great great he was. After these two got engaged we finally got to meet Brian over Skype and soon found out why Kaela kept saying how wonderful he was! Most of our Skype conversation and engagement session was full of laughter because these two are seriously hilarious together and truly bring out the best in each other.

My sweet friend Kaela, I am so happy you have found the man of your dreams who treats you like the treasure you are! Thank you for trusting Stephen and I with your day, we are so honored!!

    Love,

    S&C

P.S We are blogging from the airport because we’re heading to Panama to visit Stephen’s sister Laura for Christmas and then heading to Florida to shoot another amazing wedding! We apologize if we are a little slower to respond to emails (phones will be off so email is best). Merry Christmas friends!

  10. Chico Engagement Photography by TréCreative - John&Mallory

John&Mallory are full life and joy. This joy comes out even more when they are around each other! While photographing engagement sessions, we always strive to make it seem like we are just hanging out on a double date with our couples. This session was so fun, it definitely felt like just that, an afternoon with new friends.  We explored all their favorite places in Chico, doing the activities that these two love to do together.

We started out in lower Bidwell Park with a wonderful red tandem bike. Definitely made us want to get one! Next, we stopped at Shubert’s Ice Cream Shop…and if you haven’t been there, stop what your doing and head over! Seriously, the ice cream is amazing!! Mallory’s mom then dropped off their pup Jethro off with us for some fun family portrait of them all in beautiful Upper Bidwell Park.

John&Mallory, we have enjoyed getting to know you two both and are extremely grateful for our friendship that has begun! May wedding planning be enjoyable, stress free, and nothing but the best season of life as you journey together. Merry Christmas you two + Jethro :D

    Love,

  11. San Francisco Wedding Photography by TréCreative - Luke&Jaime

Luke&Jaime’s wedding was a culmination of months of hard work planning, laughter, joy, and so much excitement to finally becoming husband and wife. Their San Francisco style, AMAZING bridal party and love for Jesus made for a wonderful celebration on a windy afternoon in the city.

As family and friends kept confirming Luke&Jaime’s desires and commitment to live life to the fullest, it truly showed through the entire wedding day. As the day began, Jaime spent time with her bridesmaids who were all such servants and so excited to help Jaime into her wedding dress then off to see Luke for the first time. Luke&Jaime’s first look was just perfect as was the rest of their wonderful wedding day.

Thank you friends for choosing TréCreative to tell your beautiful wedding day story, you are a blessing to us!

Jaime’s wedding dress was her “something old” that transformed into a “something new”. She took her mother’s wedding dress and altered it into a beautiful vintage gown, so stunning!

And these two danced the night away, San Francisco style :D

  12. Chico California Family Photography - Walling Family

Sometimes in life, there are people that you connect with at JUST the right time. Soon after Stephen finished school and moved back to Chico, we knew we needed a community to be a part of. God quickly answered our prayers and we were connected with a college group that Kyle&Megan (pictured on the right) were leaders of. They are the kind of people you admire and respect for their relationship and love for Jesus. They have challenged us, comforted us, prayed for us and been a huge support to us during our engagement season and now as a married couple.

Through Kyle&Megan, we have gotten to know their lovely immediate family. All last year, college group was hosted at Kyle’s parents Terry&Robin Walling’s house and we quickly began to look forward to each week getting to visit with them as they graciously opened up their home.

Needless to say, we love the Walling family. They are a blessing to us and so many others in Chico. We were so honored they asked us to take some family photos for this Christmas season.

Here’s a couple of our favorites, be prepared to see some major cuteness below from their little kiddos :D

    Love,

We’ll end with this photo because who doesn’t like wagon rides :D

  13. Ranchos Madera Engagement Photography by TréCreative - Andrew&Daylinn Tease

Quant Ranchos Madera is a small town located thirty minutes outside of Fresno and it was the most perfect backdrop for Andrew&Daylinn’s country engagement session. Imagine looking out for miles and seeing nothing but cattle and rolling hills. The sun set so perfectly and we ended the session with a few tractor rides.

These two are head over heels in love with one another and such a fun couple to get to know and photograph.  There were hundreds of beautiful photos that we cannot wait to share with you, until then enjoy a few of our favorites. Keep an eye out for these two again in a few weeks :D
